Project: Movie title art for the feature snowboarding film ‘Ark’

Description: Throughout the Ark production, an art book accompanied the crew traveling to filming locations during the 2022 winter season. Everyone got the chance to contribute, no matter if their purpose was some post-filming meditative time or to help form the look and feel of the film’s overall aesthetic and title. Evenings and down days were spent with pen and paint, filling in pages and hanging out telling stories or waiting out a weather reset. In May after filming was wrapped, I headed back to the studio and just kept going, throwing paint, arranging colors, and designing new painted pieces for the Ark art portfolio. I find great joy in seeing all the contributors’ work come together, adding in my own (seen here), and reflecting on how much fun snowboarding and creating video projects with your friends can be.
